The 2013-2014 school year is coming to a close.  For the second year in a row, graduation ceremonies will take place at the end of June (replacing an October celebration).

This year’s celebration is Wednesday, June 25th at 7:00 pm at Conestoga College.

Several Awards of Honour will be presented to our well-deserving graduating students.  As students must wait until that evening to hear the names of the recipients, below is a short list from the 2013 Graduating Year:

Governor General Award: Presented to the student who achieved the highest overall average in university courses – Julia Wittmann

General Proficiency Award:  Presented to the graduate who achieved the highest overall average in non-university courses – Kennedy Baker

Canadian Federation of University Women’s Award:  Donated by the Canadian Federation of University Women awarded to the top academic female graduate – Julia Wittmann

Valedictorian Award: Representative of the graduating class capturing and expressing the spirit of the school – Julia Wittmann

Christian Citizenship Award:  St. Benedict’s most coveted award presented to a graduate who lives the ideals of the faith – Alex Silver

Student Council Award:  Presented to a student who has encouraged and supported student activities – Kennedy Thompson

Stay tuned for the names of the recipients in the 2014 Graduating class
