Quinton Lowe, a Grade 12 student at St. Benedict Catholic Secondary School, has been awarded an $80,000 Canadian Schulich Leader Scholarship, which will pay his way toward an engineering program at the University of Toronto.

CAMBRIDGE – When the typical teenager asks a parent for a ride, the request is usually for a lift to a friend’s place or perhaps to the movies or the mall.

When 17-year-old Quinton Lowe asks to catch a ride with his dad, he often has another destination in mind. Then again, Lowe is anything but the average teenager.
